R.I.P Scooby

I'm Back!!!!!

Today my post has a  ring of sadness to it so I'm sharing a sympathy card. Popular local DJ and former educator Noel Dillett, aka Scoobie Doo, passed away in hospital over the weekend. Boy, I remember growing up if you didn't have a made up CD or cassette tape from Hit City, you just didn't have good music  or if Scooby wasn't the DJ at your party, your party just wasn't happening. Condolences to the entire Dillet family. R.I.P Scoobie.

I made this card several months ago so I hope I'm able to remember everything that I used. Firstly, if your're thinking that the paper looks familiar, maybe it is! It is actually from the Nursery Glitter Mat Stack by Debbie Mum for Joann's.

I used two different cardstock for the base of the card. I used Spellbinders Labels 4 for the focul point, added a sentiment and layered it to co-ordinate with the card base.  I  added a sentiment to my favorite tag from the Spellbinders Ribbon Tag Trio and placed it below the labels 4. The tag is also layered with co-ordinating cardstock and some brown ribbon was added. I completed the look with a combination of baby blue fabric rosettes and cream coloured paper flowers and ribbons, of course.

For the inside, I stamped another sentiment onto cream cardstock. I used the blue outline that was left over from the labels four, which was cut for the front, and adhered it around the sentiment. It was then layered on brown cardstock and adhered to the inside of the card. As any good scrapper knows, waste not, want not!
All stamps used on this card are from Our Daily Bread Designs.

Thanks for dropping by today and hopefully I'll make it back here tomorrow!
